Lambsy La La

  • La La graduated with honors from the Sheep Study And Share College.  Then, this sweet lamb traveled the world, sharing her knowledge with other animals.  Life, she discovered, is full of adventures!  Lots to teach and fun stuff to learn.

When she wasn’t traveling, her favorite place to be, was sitting in the ‘cozy’, telling stories to her younger brother and sister.

“La La, you’ve seen so much, been to so many places, and met such incredible animals.  You really should write these stories down.”

“Oh, yes,” agreed her brother and sister.  Getting under their covers, they added, “then all little girls and boys could hear your cool stories.”

“You know,” said La La with a grin, “that’s not a bad idea!”

  • Lambsy's New Adventure!

“Annabelle, will you play with me today?” asked the little hedgehog. “Dear Henry, I would have loved to, but I have to help Farmer William today.” “Oh,” said Henry. “Are you too busy?” he asked. Annabelle threw her mane back and laughed, “Yes, little one. I am helping Farmer William plough the field today. We turn over the soil and bring better, richer soil to the top. The farmer then plants seeds which will grow into vegetables for the family to eat.” “May I be too busy with you today, Annabelle?” Henry asked. “You are a sweet hedgehog,” Annabelle replied, “but I think you’re too little.” Henry felt sad. He wanted to be too busy and help the farmer.

  • “The voices began, and the elderly lady said, Forever I have searched, forever I have waited, please come back to me.  When the voices stopped, a brighter glow filled the treehouse.  The lady smiled, slightly wider than the night before, and went back into the cottage.   She couldn’t sleep as she lay in her bed. She was remembering what had happened, sixty years earlier.

“When she was eight years old, her father built her a beautiful treehouse.  She loved to have tea parties in the treehouse with her friends and dolls.  Then on her ninth birthday, her parents gave her three gorgeous kittens.”

  • So happy for the sweater,
    All pretty and pink.
For without it she’d be wetter,
    And likely to sink.

    Thrilled with the skirt,
    Red stripes and green.
    Plus the belt didn’t hurt;
    At least she’d be seen.

    Loving the shoes,
    All purple and shiny.
    She had nothing to lose,
    Covering toes that were tiny.

    The tights were so warm,
    So cute and so toasty.
    They’d weather this storm,
    ‘Cause they covered her mostly.

  • Abigail is a very pretty little Angelfish.  Sebastian told Abigail he didn’t really want to be a fish.  He wanted to be a horse.  “But you are a fish,” said Abigail.  “I don’t think so,” said Sebastian.  “I think I should be a real horse with legs.  I should be able to run fast and win races.”

Abigail loved being a fish, so It made her a little sad that her friend wasn’t happy being one, too.  Wanting to make her friend feel better, Abigail said, “My Mom told me that a seahorse can change colors whenever they feel like it.  How cool is that?”  “I don’t want to change colors,” said Sebastian.  “I want to race.”

  • That evening, Sam’s Dad said, “I wonder what Ella did today?”  Sam was cuddling next to Ella, by the fire.  “I know exactly what she did,” said Sam.  “She took a nap on your bed; she took a nap on my bed; and then, she fell asleep in front of the fire.  She’s a lucky dog.”

The next morning everything happened as it always did.  Mom and Dad went to work, and Sam went to school.  They all said, good bye to Ella, as she lay on Mom and Dad’s bed.  After the front door closed, she did what she does every morning after the family leaves… Ella jumped off the bed and ran outside.

  • Why must we count things,
Does it have to be done?
    Whatever the amount brings,
    It doesn’t seem fun.

    If Susie has six cats,
    And Peter, two others.
Let’s just leave it at that,
    And agree they’re cat lovers.

    “I can appear with glee,
    This is very true.
    And who can see me?
    Magically, only you.”

    “But what happens in here,
It is just as much fun.
    Sure I can disappear,
    But you’re learning a ton.”
